    This pre-registered Workshop will cater to 60 nurses from the polyclinics, to
hone practical skills in helping mothers to breastfeed successfully.
Conducted by ABAS at KK Hospital.

    This video will be distributed to the maternity hospitals, polyclinics, and
private women’s and children’s clinics for the benefit of mothers and

a Seminarv for Medical Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals.

Synopsis: Exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life, and
continued breastfeeding till 2 years and beyond is the ideal nutrition for infants. This seminar will equip you with the practical aspects of managing the mother and infant during the crucial 1 month post-delivery, with the aim of holistic management of the dyad, and supporting establishment of breastfeeding.

    Breastfeeding Mothers’ Support Group (Singapore) is local organizer for the Philippine initiative to set a new Guinness World Record for Simultaneous Breastfeeding in Multiple Sites on 8 Aug 2007 at 10 am Local time for sites throughout the world.

  Dr Jack Newman’s Lecture Visit
    Dr Jack Newman of Toronto, Canada, eminent paediatrician and author of “The Ultimate Breastfeeding Book”, was in Singapore for a lecture visit in April. Most of his schedule was to address healthcare professionals and share his practical expertise in helping mums and babies succeed in breastfeeding. He also spoke at a Public Forum on 23 April 2006.
